Senior Private Equity Associate

A leading global private equity firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Hamburg investment team.

The firm invests in mid-market businesses across sectors including business services, healthcare, technology and industrials. Its approach combines rigorous investment analysis with hands-on operational involvement, supporting management teams through growth, strategic transformation and complex transactions.

The Senior Associate will take significant responsibility across the full investment lifecycle and work closely with senior investment professionals and portfolio company management teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead key workstreams across new private equity investments from initial evaluation through execution
• Develop investment cases, financial analyses and valuation models and coordinate due diligence processes
• Work closely with portfolio management teams on strategic, operational and M&A-driven value creation initiatives
• Support investment sourcing and develop relationships with executives, advisors and market participants

Requirements

• Strong previous experience in private equity, investment banking or a closely related transaction environment
• Excellent financial modelling, valuation and investment analysis capabilities
• Proven commercial judgement and ability to take ownership of complex transaction workstreams
• Professional fluency in German and English
