Private Equity Associate

A leading global private equity fund is seeking an Associate to join its investment team in Munich.

The fund invests in high-quality businesses across technology, healthcare, tech-enabled services and industrial technology, combining a thematic investment approach with active ownership and significant operational involvement. Investment professionals work closely with management teams to develop businesses through organic growth, acquisitions, digitalisation and operational improvement.

The position is particularly suited to candidates combining private equity transaction experience with a top-tier strategy consulting background.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new investments through commercial, strategic and financial analysis
• Take ownership of key transaction workstreams, including due diligence, valuation and investment committee preparation
• Work closely with portfolio company management teams on strategy, growth and value creation initiatives
• Develop sector themes and identify attractive investment opportunities across the DACH market

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience, including previous private equity and MBB strategy consulting experience
• Strong commercial judgement combined with excellent financial and analytical capabilities
• Proven ability to work with senior management teams and take ownership of complex strategic and transaction-related workstreams
• Professional fluency in German and English
