Investment Manager

A leading European private equity investor is seeking a (Senior) Investment Manager to join its DACH investment team in Hamburg.

The firm invests in profitable mid-market businesses operating in fragmented, structurally growing markets. Its strategy combines organic growth with an active buy-and-build approach, creating significant transaction exposure across the portfolio.

With a highly entrepreneurial culture and a strong European platform, the team works closely with management to build market-leading businesses through acquisitions, strategic development and operational growth.

Responsibilities

• Identify attractive sectors, companies and new investment opportunities and lead discussions with management teams
• Structure and execute acquisitions and financings, including due diligence, negotiations and investment decision-making
• Take ownership of 1–2 portfolio companies and help define their strategic and acquisition roadmap
• Lead add-on acquisitions, portfolio development initiatives and eventual exit processes

Requirements

• 6–10 years of relevant experience across private equity, venture capital, investment banking, consulting, corporate development or a senior finance role
• Strong transaction experience, including due diligence and key transaction documentation
• Excellent commercial judgement with the ability to work confidently with entrepreneurs and C-level management
• Strong academic background and professional fluency in German and English
